PUE ZUS Account — How to Check Whether Your Employer Is Paying Your Social Insurance

Through PUE ZUS you can verify online whether the agency is actually paying your ZUS contributions. Learn how to create an account and what you can find there.

Did you know you can check at any time whether your employer has been paying your ZUS social insurance contributions? The tool for this is the ZUS Electronic Services Platform (PUE ZUS) — a free portal available to every insured person, with an interface available in Ukrainian.

What Can You Check on PUE ZUS?

  • Whether the agency has registered you for social insurance (pension, disability, sickness, accident)
  • Which contributions have been paid and for which periods
  • Your sick leave (L4) history and any benefits received
  • The balance on your individual pension account
  • Apply for a certificate confirming no arrears in contributions

How to Create a PUE ZUS Account

  1. Via Profil Zaufany (easiest) — go to pue.zus.pl and log in using your Profil Zaufany (trusted profile). If you do not yet have one, read our PESEL and Profil Zaufany guide.
  2. In person at a ZUS branch — staff can set up your account and issue a temporary password.
  3. Via online banking — several Polish banks (PKO BP, Pekao, mBank, ING) allow login to PUE ZUS directly through their internet banking portal.

How to Verify That Contributions Are Being Paid

Once logged in:

  1. Go to the "Ubezpieczony" (Insured person) tab
  2. Click "Informacja o ubezpieczeniu" — you will see the date from which you are insured and who the contributing payer is (the agency should appear as the payer)
  3. Under "Konto ubezpieczonego", you can review the full payment history

What to Do If the Employer Is Not Paying?

If you notice that:

  • You are not registered with ZUS despite having worked for several weeks
  • Contributions for a given month have not been paid
  • The employer appears as deregistered

You have the right to report this to ZUS directly or file a complaint with the State Labour Inspectorate (PIP). Failure to pay contributions is a legal violation — ZUS can pursue enforcement against the employer, and your entitlement to benefits is not affected.

Your Pension and Your Future

Every contribution paid to ZUS is recorded on your individual pension account. Workers from Ukraine and other countries who have worked in Poland may be entitled to a ZUS pension upon reaching retirement age, or to have their Polish contributions counted under bilateral social security agreements between Poland and their home country.

PUE ZUS in Ukrainian

The PUE ZUS portal offers a full Ukrainian-language interface — switch the language in your account settings after logging in. ZUS also runs a Ukrainian-language helpline: 22 560 16 00.
